2 Greek Gals was established in 1997. I was diagnosed with breast cancer, while on chemotherapy and radiation a friend and I decided to cook Greek Food and sell it at farmers markets, Christmas markets, catering, etc. We managed to do a couple of markets and my 6 months of chemo and radiation finally finished. Sad, but my friend no longer wanted to do it. I always had a passion for cooking and baking so I decided to continue. I was invited to join a market for the summer, before I knew it I was doing 4 markets a week. In 2002, The Calgary Farmers Market was born and 2 Greek Gals turned into a family business. Here we are today with a profitable business. I’ve always said, “Have passion for what you do,” and “Cook with your heart and you shall succeed.”

Established in 1981, Alpine Sausage is a family-owned meat shop and importing company with a Danish influence and contemporary taste. We believe in using quality meat from local producers and are part of the 100-mile radius movement, which helps reduce the carbon footprint of our products. Our locally sourced meats are free-range, dry-aged, hormone and antibiotic free – beef, chicken, turkey and pork. In addition to our top-quality fresh meat counter, we also make over 200 meat products in-house, including all deli meats, sausages, burgers, jerky and charcuterie. Our products are lower in salt than their commercial counterparts and contain no gluten, soy, starches, binders or fillers. It’s just meat and spice – like it should be.
Calgary Heritage Roasting Company is built by the wilderness that drives it. We meticulously marry fresh and bold coffee with the urge to explore. The company found its inspiration over a percolated cup of coffee on a backpacking trip one morning in the rolling hills of Alberta, Canada. Our methods and values were forged from our experiences as wildland firefighters. Since then, the company's foundation continues to grow and evolve during backyard BBQs, weekend mountain adventures, cold ones with friends and late nights under star-filled skies. Like our beans, the love grew naturally. Through experimentation and time we learned more about the art of coffee roasting. We knew we had something special. CHRC is the home-grown, outback, rugged, mountain-fresh, clear skies sort of thing that Alberta is all about. It's here our story truly begins. Calgary Heritage Roasting Company believes in active collaboration, giving back to the community, and getting back to nature. It’s about time your coffee tasted as wild as you are. Stay Wild!
The Cherry Pit began in 1995 with two small tables at the Canmore Farmer's Market. Founder and Owner Sharla Dube filled those tables with fresh BC fruits and Alberta Vegetables direct from the growers as a respite from her hectic day job. Today, Sharla's fresh fruits and vegetables fill more than 2,400 square feet of space at the Calgary Farmer's Market. We have created a cold press juice line called Better Fresh by using all our locally fresh produce. Our Vegetable butchers are making farm fresh salads and easy to use fresh cut meal kits to make our lives easier. We take Eat Better Live Better seriously to make our lives BETTER...

Chinook Honey Company & Chinook Arch Meadery - A hobby that became a passion and then a business, Chinook Honey Company was founded in 2004. Always devoted to giving the best care to our bees, 2004 was the year we opened our boutique farm shop to customers who wanted to buy pure, raw honey from their local beekeeper. Since then we have also been producing many different items using the liquid gold including jams, jellies, sauces and even honey wine (mead). For a full retail experience we also sell beeswax candles, honey body care and apitherapy products as well as other items related to bees or honey. To ensure the best products and customer service we prefer to work directly with our loyal followers instead of selling wholesale. That includes sales to Calgary area restaurants and discerning liquor stores in southern Alberta.

Gull Valley Greenhouses is a family-owned and operated greenhouse just south of Gull Lake in Central Alberta, run by Phil, Carolyn, Levi and Carmen Tiemstra. Before the greenhouse, Phil was following in his father’s footsteps by raising chickens, but said he needed something more challenging. Gull Valley Greenhouses was started by Phil and Carolyn in 1991 and was just under half an acre in size. Over the years, the business has continued to succeed and today houses four acres of greenhouse space – the latest acre being equipped with LED lights to accommodate year-round growing. In those early days Gull Valley Greenhouses started out growing beef steak tomatoes, but the Tiemstras continue to diversify, now offering about a dozen different types of high-quality tomatoes. Offering fresh, locally grown and sustainable produce has been a passion of the family since day one – a principle that has carried throughout the business to the present day. For the Tiemstras, they take pride in their operation, and it’s rewarding for them to know that people are enjoying a high-quality, nutrient-filled, tasteful product. Gull Valley Greenhouse’s produce can be found at the Gull Valley Growers booth at the Calgary Farmer’s Market.

Pie Cloud’s food philosophy embraces everything pie; our range is sweet, savory and sublime. Our savory menu, for example, includes many of the kinds of pie that people hope and expect to find at any pie place, including a great steak 'n ale pie in traditional pastry as well as items for the more adventurous, like slow-smoked BBQ pork on cornmeal crust and mac and cheese pie. Sweet pie offerings include an ultimate apple, lemon meringue, luscious lime, banana cream and perfect pecan, supplemented by seasonal flavors that change all the time and utilize whatever ingredients are very best at the moment. We also dream up over-the-top inventions that push the boundaries of pie, coming up with new flavors and fanciful art pies that turn this most traditional of pastries into sublime surprises. Everything is hand-crafted with no shortcuts, be it pie crust, creamy custard, or fresh fruit filling. We are unabashedly best friends with butter and cream and are all about fresh, seasonal, and scrumptious, done right.”

The Bos Farm, a second-generation farm located in Central Alberta, owned by Patrick and Cherylynn Bos was converted to a goat dairy in 1999. Initially they intended to be producers only but soon realized that if a goat dairy was to exist in Alberta they would have to finish out the product to the retail level themselves. Rock Ridge Dairy, a CFIA approved processing facility, was added to the farm site in 2006 and later expanded to about 10000 sq. feet in 2010. Today Rock Ridge Dairy run by Cherylynn Bos B.Sc. processes goat milk produced by the Bos Farm’s own herd of 700 milking does as well as from seven other local dairy goat farms making it the largest goat milk farm and processing facility in Western Canada. Organic cow milk from one certified Organic Jersey herd is also brought in weekly from a nearby farm to make up the families’ cow milk portion of the Rock Ridge Brand. Their focus is to become Alberta’s specialty dairy and to produce high quality goat milk and organic cow milk products for Alberta consumers.

Some of the best things happen over beer. Ideas are born, friendships forged, deals struck. Village Brewery began that way too, with friends sharing beers and dreams for a community brewery. A brewery that would support Calgary’s artists and craftspeople. A brewery that would create the excellent ales and lagers our friends and neighbours deserve.

Our two lines of non-alcoholic kombucha are widely distributed throughout Canada. Wild Tea Kombucha is unlike any other kombucha available in Canada! They are both 100% raw and unpasteurized kombucha with living cultures. Our original line is flavoured with fresh pressed juices, with fun cocktail inspired names and minimal carbonation. Our kombucha-sodas are traditional kombucha’s flavoured like a classic soda. With no added sugars, and sweetened with all-natural stevia, these deliver a bold taste at a fraction of the calories. Our alcoholic kombucha is another first-to-Canada beverage using the same small batch methods we know and love. A naturally fermented cider base, flavoured with our delicious kombucha, 6% ALC/VOL and available in two refreshing flavors: Blueberry Hibiscus and Ginger Lime.
